Hannah Wheeler

Hannah Wheeler, artist, paints original art and is available for sale at Wychwood Art, online and in our gallery. Hannah Delightful Wheeler is a painter working between the UK and Switzerland. Her chiaroscuro paintings are evocative of Baroque portraiture. Heavily influenced by a bohemian upbringing, my work carries the visual contradictions of my childhood. Using literature as a starting point, my artwork is often built around impressions or phrases from favourite books. Heavy shadow adds depth, structure and mystery to the subjects, while at the same time illuminating them; reflecting the psychological need to balance both aspects of our character.
