Helen Ryan artist exhibits her works with Wychwood Art. Helen Ryan's paintings document a personal journey; from her birthplace in Ireland to Australia, Europe, and ultimately her chosen home – London. Helen Ryan creative practice focuses on recording and expressing what she sees, thinks, and feels as she travels and moves through life. The paintings reflect the landscape, city, street scenes, people and energy that inspire her via their natural beauty, or by the scale and power of man-made structures. This theme and tension of balancing nature against fabrication is echoed in current mixed media pieces in acrylic which incorporate upcycled materials to atmospheric effect. Helen regularly exhibits in London. Her work was selected for the 2014 ING:Discerning Eye exhibition at the Mall Galleries. In 2012 she was shortlisted for the New English Art Club (NEAC) Mall Galleries exhibition and appeared on the BBC2 arts programme 'Show me the Monet' . Further gallery listings are available.
