Why buy art online?

Buying art online through Wychwood Art is a secure and convenient way to buy great affordable art. Director of Wychwood Art, Deborah Allan, has been working in the international art world for over 15 years, firstly at Christie’s for 11 years in Impressionist, Modern and Post-War Art, and subsequently at Bonhams for 4 years as European Director of Impressionist and Modern Art giving her an invaluable knowledge of the art market. Selling art as an auctioneer to important art collectors has given her great insight into why people buy art and what makes a good work of art.

Can I come and see the artwork in person?

Yes please contact us at deborah@wychwoodart.com and we will organise for the work you like to be shipped to one of the gallery locations in London or the Cotswolds. There will be no charge for this and if you are not satisfied with the work there is no obligation to buy the work.

We also offer a 14 day money back guarantee allowing you to decide whether to return a work of art if it is not what as you expected it to be.

When will I receive my order?

Your work will be shipped as soon as possible however it will be shipped within 7 business days. We will email you to let you know that the work has been shipped to you. Please email us at deborah@wychwoodart.com or call us on 07799 535 765.

Framing and mounting

Artworks sold are sometimes sold unframed, framed or mounted. Check carefully to see how your work is sold. Some art buyers prefer to frame the artwork themselves.

Delivery and delivery charges

Delivery charges (to the UK) are included in the price of the work. The price you see for the art work is the final price that you pay.

The art works will be sent directly from the artist’s studio. If you are purchasing more than one art work from different artists they will arrive in different packaging and at different times.

Artists are contracted to despatch your art works within 7 business days. If for any reason there is a delay we will contact you.

VAT

VAT is included in the price of the art work and there are no hidden costs.

Credit Card Security

We take your security very seriously and we use Barclaycard to process all of our payments online.

Selling your artwork with Wychwoodart.com 

Please contact us at deborah@wychwoodart.com if you wish to sell your art through us. We would be delighted to hear from you.

What happens if after a year or two I wish to sell the work of art I bought from you?

We offer a service where the original owner ( the work cannot be passed on or sold to anyone else) of the work of art can re-sell the work with us for no commission and in return receive a credit note to purchase another work of art. If the work is above 1000 Euro then the seller will need to pay the artists’s resale right which is a small percentage on the total value of the work sold. The seller will be able to use the credit note they receive to buy another work of art with Wychwood Art at www.wychwoodart.com.
