I always wanted to dive like a siren, without splatter.
The dive is classified as an art as much as a sport. The beauty and the grace have to be added to the gesture of strength and suppleness when the body moves in the air.

This work is based on collage and, in a second time, transformed into a hand made screenprint by using computer. I like the messiness of sticky glue, soggy paper and the unpredictable nature of the final product.
Today, with technology, collage extends beyond using paper. Enabling acute manipulation and a huge range of artistic possibilities, computer programmes now mean we can assemble a collage digitally. I like to work on the boundaries between collage and technology.

This screen print was hand printed in water based inks on 300gsm Cartridge Paper.

I like the screen printing media because it is no longer confined to a simple impression on paper, it offers artists a way to experiment and fail, to test colour relationships and play with ideas. Often appropriating visual themes and incorporating these as printed motifs, I adopt a playful approach in my practice. Inspiration is found in my surroundings: colours, lines, shapes and patterns that can be found in cities, design and fashion and try to find humour in day to day life. ​I am inspired also by pets and their special place in our family life."
