Gerard Sexton.

Burnt umber and cyan – New media digitally produced abstract art; regarded as digital painting or algorithmic art.

My work takes its influence from the abstract expressionist movement. Perhaps overtones of Kandinsky and Klee. This piece like all my work has evolved through multiple iterations tinkered with and developed sometimes over many months. My art is knowing when to stop.

These pieces are best produced large to appreciate the detail.

Sold as limited edition Giclee prints using high quality fine art archival paper.

To ensure quality and correct paper selection I will provide the paper prints. Print prices see below.

Shipping outside of UK will be additional to print cost. Shipped in a tube approx weight 2lbs

My preferred framing approach is to frame as a box without a moulding but ultimately this is the buyers choice as prints are supplied unframed.

Print size 24 x 24 inches with a border (61 x 61 cm). £200

Print size 30 x 30 inches with a border (76 x 76 cm). £320

Edition by size of 20; Archival paper Giclee print.

This image is available in smaller/larger prints up to the original size of 40 x 40 inches.

In addition I am willing to explore adopting different media such as printing and mounting on aluminium or perspex. Price will be appreciably higher. For further info please enquire via the gallery.

Throughout the following two decades he maintained an interest in photography & Art. In the 90's Gerard explored painting with pastel & acrylic. More recently he has predominantly worked in the medium of Digital Fine Art Limited Edition Prints. "Throughout the years I dabbled with art, life drawing mainly but latterly creating small works using pastels and Acrylics. On my retirement 10 years ago I spent much of my time developing my photography skills both as a shooter and in the digital darkroom. My experience taught me I could adopt photoshop not only as my photographic post production tool but as a means of recreating art similar if not the same to my pastels and acrylics. Using pixels instead of paint or chalk. Also I could fuse my photography and photographic reproduction my original pastels and algorithmic art to fashion my creations using a computer screen as my canvas."
