'Cornish Tin Mine' is a limited edition lino cut print by Jess Harrington from a single lino cut block and is part of a set of square prints. This is from my Blue Series of prints. Jess Harrington is a designer printmaker creating hand printed textiles and limited edition prints on paper. The Tin Mine is an iconic image in Cornwall, a lasting reminder of our heritage and I love the industrial decay being reclaimed by nature.

Jess comments "I am an artist based in North Cornwall and I get much of my inspiration from the beautiful environment that surrounds me and from Cornish folklore. I spent many years immersed in nature as a gardener and garden designer which led on to my work creating botanical plaster reliefs. As my creative work has developed I have moved on to using my images to create lino cuts. I get great pleasure from using the lino carving tools to work the lino and bring my ideas to life. I print on both paper and textiles and I am currently working on developing both my Sea and Myth themes.
