Contemporary artist Kitty Kovacevic creates detailed landscape drawings that focus on the importance of architecture within our heritage. This piece is part of a series of works created during her 2016 Artist Residency with Cotswold Life Magazine.

‘The Cotswolds’ features the following buildings Blenheim Palace, Broadway Tower, Broadway Hotel, Arlington Row (Bibury), Charlecote Park, Pershore Abbey, Montpellier Arcade and the Pittville Pump Rooms (Cheltenham).

Kitty graduated from Falmouth University with a a BA Hons in Fine Art, during which she spent a year studying printmaking in Finland where she developed a keen interest in architecture. Her detailed drawings focus on local landmarks with the aim of celebrating the unique culture and heritage of a place. Using her own photographs Kitty creates collages as a starting point for her work. This process forms the unnatural viewpoints within her landscapes and street scenes. Kitty works both as an Artist and Graphics Designer and currently resides in the Cotswolds. She is Cotswold Life Magazine’s Artist in residence for 2016.
