The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, better known as Sacré-Cœur. Ever since I first visited the city I have been fascinated with the beautiful shape and exquisite details of the church. This piece is created from an original photograph, digitally coloured and printed on a slim sheet of aluminium. The metallic finish brings out the details of the Parisien rooftops too. And the vivid blue sky highlights the shape of the landmark perfectly, perched majestically on top of the highest point in the city. Sacre Coeur is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in 10-14 days. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it incredibly easy to hang.

Michael has spent more than twenty years in the media industry working on entertainment programmes, talk shows, documentaries, animations and a children’s novel. But creating original and innovative art is his true passion. His latest work celebrates the beauty of the city through the shapes, outlines and colours that define its character. London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Miami, Paris and Dubai all feature in Michael’s portfolio. The art is created by digitally manipulating and colouring his own photographs to produce unusual prints on aluminium, reclaimed wood, brass, even 1930’s copper-lite windows. He also creates neon, magnetic, and L.E.D installations. The metal pieces are printed on very thin sheets of brushed aluminium, giving the work an etched appearance. Michael works out of his studio at Wimbledon Art Studios in South London. Recent exhibitions include The Affordable Art Fair (Battersea, Hampstead, Singapore, New York, Milan), The Other Art Fair, and The Open Studios Show at Wimbledon Art Studios, amongst others.
