This is a limited edition of just 12 hand pulled screen prints by Robyn Forbes showing two surfers against a dramatic beach backdrop. Inspired by Cornish beach days with her surf obsessed children at Watergate Bay, this print reflects the gorgeous variations of the Cornish summer skies.

Each sky is hand painted onto the screen and water spay is used to create texture and makes each print totally unique. These prints work especially well when hung in pairs as there are a number of variations in the colors used with no print being exactly the same. The pale blue tones give a more subdued feel whilst the orange and yellow variations really pop against a white wall and would make an ideal gift for any surf enthusiast.

Having studied art at Wimbledon and Chelsea School of Art she had a successful career in advertising before establishing and running a busy architectural practice with her husband and now combines this with her artistic practice. Robyn utilises a number of styles, tapping into the versatility of the screen-printing process in her work. Whether using photos and sketches to record the scenes around her and then capturing the mood and feel of a place through the printing process, or working on more graphical prints, her work is characterised by the bold use of colour. The mono printing method brings a painterly quality to much of her work and some unexpected results where unlike most screen prints, each piece is unique.
