‘Paul Weller: A Kind Revolution’ – Original Silkscreen Print by Katie Edwards.

This piece was commissioned by Mojo Magazine to accompany the lead album article for Paul Weller’s new album ‘A Kind Revolution’.

‘A Kind Revolution’ is a colourful illustration of Paul Weller stood amongst London’s iconic buildings. Surrounded by cranes of both types representing the song ‘The Cranes Are Back’ which touches on the idea that society might undergo a positive renewal.

“It’s a double metaphor. In some societies the cranes returning are a sign of good fortune, and then I was also thinking about mechanical cranes, where you see people spending money and building starting again. I see the album as very uplifting as a whole.” Paul Weller

This print is combined with hand painted layers of acrylic on Fabriano paper, 10 prints were made and each one is completely unique. Available mounted, H 40.5 x W 30.5 cm, sold UNFRAMED. Framing ideas have been provided.
