Created in 2018 by Alexandra Buckle.
A reduction linocut of the view across the river in Stratford upon Avon, with the Church of the Holy Trinity, where Shakespeare in buried, reflected in the water. This is one of a small edition of 8 prints, all of which are printed by hand so small variations occur between them making each one truly original.

This work is printed with water-based, light-fast inks on Somerset Satin paper and has a beautiful matt finish. The printed area is 30 x 40cm. It is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom, mounted in a neutral colour and wrapped in cellophane to keep it clean. The mounted work will fit into a 16 x 20 inch frame.

Lino Print – A relief printing technique where lino is cut, inked and rolled to create an inverse relief print, generating the image as seen.

Size: H:41 cm x W:51 cm

Works by Alexandra Buckle are available online and in the gallery. Alexandra has been a full time professional printmaker since 2012, she works from her own home printmaking studio in Bicester. Inspired by countryside walks and the changes in weather and season upon the landscape, she enjoys capturing her favourite scenery as hand printed reduction linocuts. Reduction linocuts are multi-layered relief prints where every layer is cut and printed from the same block of lino, destroying the block as you progress. Alexandra's work is impressionistic in style; it is colourful, full of light, depth and detail. Themes include woodlands and trees, water and reflections, and flowers and fields.
