The wild seascape and weathered, basalt rocks of Newfoundland are the subject of this work. On location, perched on the cliff face, the drawings are made and in the studio paint is poured to evoke a sense of the ocean currents. A lengthy process of placing layers of glazed colour, gradually brings form and light to the canvas.
