A composition with white and orange lilies inspired by a trip to Evenley Wood Garden. Printed by hand in a very limited edition. Small variations make each individual piece truly original. Every print is numbered, titled and signed at the bottom. This is a reduction linocut; a relief print formed with layers of colour which are cut and printed from the same block of lino. The block is destroyed in the process. Materials: lightfast water-based inks, archival cotton paper, conservation mount Artwork size: 20 x 20 cm Mounted size: 12 x 12 inches - will fit a standard frame

Works by Alexandra Buckle are available online and in the gallery. Alexandra has been a full time professional printmaker since 2012, she works from her own home printmaking studio in Bicester. Inspired by countryside walks and the changes in weather and season upon the landscape, she enjoys capturing her favourite scenery as hand printed reduction linocuts. Reduction linocuts are multi-layered relief prints where every layer is cut and printed from the same block of lino, destroying the block as you progress. Alexandra's work is impressionistic in style; it is colourful, full of light, depth and detail. Themes include woodlands and trees, water and reflections, and flowers and fields.
