All’s Well

Helen Langfield -All’s Well was inspired by my love of the sea. It is my own interpretation that is taken from the visual and emotional experiences of many places. I do not work from photographs, my work is purely imaginative and leads the viewer to decide on their own interpretation.

The canvas is boxed, and has painted sides. It is signed ‘Helen’, and is also signed on the back.

It’s been given a coat of temporary retouch varnish to protect and enhance the oils.

Discover new paintings for sale by artist Helen Howells nee Helen Langfield. Original paintings are available for sale online and through our Deddington art gallery. Helen Howells is an artist living and working in the historic village of Caerleon in South Wales. Helen initially trained as a nurse, however following a career break whilst she raised her family, she took the decision not to return to nursing but to pursue her original ambition to become a fine artist. Upon completion of a Foundation Art course at the University of South Wales in Caerleon, in which she gained a distinction, Helen embarked upon establishing herself as an artist, focusing primarily on the dramatic Welsh seascapes and landscapes which she loves. Working predominantly in oil on canvas, she uses brush and palette knife marks to create rich textures which have been described as sensitive and expressive. Helen uses a semi abstract style to capture the essence of the image, drawing upon her experiences and deep emotional connection with the Welsh countryside. Her work focuses on the dynamic nature of light, and its interaction with the surrounding environment. The creation of each painting is an emotional journey in which Helen endeavours to engage the viewer to reach their own interpretation.
