‘Alluvium’ by Joshua Browitt is an original abstract painting.

All my paintings are to be interpreted in an experiential way personal to the viewer.

For this painting I wanted to emulate the beauty, movement and texture of earth. The finished effect is organic.
There is something closely linked between the materials I have used and how the work mirrors the natural world.

Pouring, tilting and manipulating over a period of time affecting the flow of the materials the evolution of form, colour and tone take place. As a consequence of creating layer upon layer of paint these objects fashion their own physical potential, existing as both earthly and ethereal forms. The paintings are abstract but not in a conventional sense; they evoke their own atmospheric existence reflecting the natural world. Joshua Browitt studied Fine Art at Loughborough University and has had multiple group Exhibitions and his instantly recognisable work is held in private collections in the UK.
