  • About this work of Art

I had such fun painting this piece – although it was difficult to balance some of the colours as the actual flowers were so vivid. This is an interpretation of a natural planting of South American species in an area called the Merton Beds at the Oxford Botanic Gardens. The seeds were broadcast and allowed to grow naturally – hence the chaotic and riotous nature of the image. This is a triptych formed of 3 square panels, each 97 x 97cm, which can be hung side by side to make a continuous piece, or on separate walls – perhaps in a small room to create an overall theme.
