About this work of Art
Beneath by Gina Parr.
From the series Spatial history, a continuation of the series River meets sea, Inspired by childhood memories of day fishing for mackerel with my father and exploring the fine line between pure abstraction and figurative recognition, between chance and control during the painting process.
Whilst my work is fundamentally abstract, driven by autobiographical themes and figurative reference, it also explores the human condition through our connections to place, space, memory and its underlying psychology.
Painting is ready to hang and signed on the canvas side.
