Mary Chaplin, ‘Bouquet of wild poppies’, this bouquet was painted from a real bunch of poppies the artist picked during a walk in Normandy countryside. Mary Chaplin likes to bring the public into her paintings. She likes sharing her approach to the simplicity of a subject, the flowers are treated in her own impressionistic style but always with a smidgen of abstraction. She doesn’t paint still-life, she paints a moment in time, you can almost imagine the petals of poppies falling on the table, she paints life! This painting was painted with very high quality acrylic paint on linen canvas. A scene expressed with an impressionistic style. Dimensions: 73x60x2cm. Not framed but ready to be hung.
