Textured Meadow is an original landscape painting full of interest and atmosphere. Looking closely, the viewer can make out textures of sand and tissue paper in the field. Soft watercolour marks are complimented by the contrasting hard lines of the wintery trees and simple birds painted in the sky. The artist used a vivid yellow colour adjacent to the bright mauve for drama while the textures add foreground detail make this a unique little one-off piece of art. This original artwork is set in a pure white mount subtly signed bottom right and titled on the left. Ready for your own choice of frame.

I love to create paintings inspired by the stunning Oxfordshire countryside where I live and seascapes from my travels. These are usually enhanced by my vivid imagination. Following A Level I continued to study art at Banbury in Oxfordshire and finally a degree at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design in Farnham, totalling six years of art training and many, many more years experimenting. I enjoy the experimental approach of trying out different mediums including ink, acrylic, oil and watercolour. The application of the paint is an exciting experience for me creating interesting marks such as splashes, dripping, masking, dry brushing and palette knife effects. Working in a spontaneous manner, I relish in the excitement of the unpredictable nature of the media I combine. In fact ‘happy accidents’ are a fundamental part of my practise and lead to each piece having its own individuality.
