An abandoned land and nature reclaims its rights. The wind sows seeds of wild poppies with its nimble fingers and suddenly the earth comes back to life. Colours and insects inhabit the abandoned garden. Mary Chaplin doesn't just want to paint flowers, the artist thinks nature is too perfect to be copied. This is why the artist pushes the boundaries of figurative representation and paints the wind, the buzz of insects and the smells of flowers and earth. You are not buying an object, a painting, but a little piece of Nature. Poppies, wind, perfumes, birdsong and insect humming: life! This painting is a diptych, 2x65x81cmx2,5cm. This work is made with high quality acrylics paint on a linen stretched canvas. It is not framed but ready to be hung.
