Five Satsumas is an original oil painting by Kate Verrion. Kate’s photographic style gives her work an intricacy rarely found. The way in which the vivid orange of the peel and flesh of the satsumas overlap and sit on the neutral white cloth, allows for a rich layering of painterly textures contrasted by the smooth finish of the board.

Kate studied at Wimbledon school of art, then Hornsey art college.Over the years she has honed her hyper-realist technique of oil painting, until she finally feels there is a consistency in style to present to a highly appreciative audience. Her work is imbued within the tradition of the Dutch masters, and the timeless modest aesthetic of Giorgio Morandi.
