‘Morphosis II’ has been painted by the artist, Bill Bate, using oil paint on canvas.

This painting started out as a single figure but has been heavily reworked evolving into a scene depicting two bodies. The edges of the canvas have no paint on and have been left bare. The artwork is contemporary and figurative.

Bill Bate’s artwork focuses on the human form. By the use of dramatic light his atmospheric works are emotional responses to the body in movement, at rest, and the body observed.
