This is an original painting by Christina Sadler, also known as Maker Who Doesn't Make. It is part of a collection of work called the Horizon Series. This series explores connections with nature and the meditative value of looking towards a horizon and the grounding it gives. There's something calming looking out to sea. There is a point at which you know things continue but you can't see it; where the sky blends into the sea. It reminds you of trust, of believing in your instincts and to have faith that if you keep going things will become clear. Christina believes that creating and viewing art can improve your wellbeing: “I get immense enjoyment from painting, when I am making I feel better, less anxious and restful. Viewing art can make you feel like this too and I believe the calmness I feel when painting translates into my work. I am fascinated by the connections others make with my paintings and the memories or feelings it evokes in them."
