I’ve spent many hours on South Sands over the years and because I love colour I couldn’t resist painting the red sails and complimentary red buoys. I wanted to create the feeling that you could walk on the sand down to the shoreline where the boat is ready to go out. I used texture to contrast between the dry and wet sand to help create this effect..
