Please note that insitu images are purely an indication of how a piece may look In Reflections of Delius’ Lee Tiller has used a rich and verdant palette of summer colour, ranging from deep greens and violets to bight yellow greens, cobalt blues and pinks. He paints in the same tradition as the original impressionists, painting with an immediacy that recreates the sensation of experiencing a moment in time and place. Hidden with the brushstrokes are myriad colours that often surprise and confound, yet viewed as a whole, form a harmonious effect similar to musical expression. Having developed a reputation for painting the effects of light, Lee’s work has often been mentioned alongside the works of the original French Impressionists, employing broken colour to create beautiful chromatic harmonies. Like Monet and Pisarro, Tiller reveals as much with colour within the shadows as you would expect to find in the full radiance of reflected sunlight. ‘Reflections of Delius’ received its title from listening to the Music of Delius while painting. It will make a wonderful and calming centre piece for any room. It is currently supplied unframed. Please enquire about our framing service.
