Summer Blues is an original oil painting inspired by the beauty of the south coast. When visiting the sea the saturation and variety of the colours never fails to inspire.

After over a decade in London working in publishing and then Interior Design Gemma returned to the Sussex /Hampshire borders. Alongside raising a family, she has been able to resume her love of art and is primarily self- taught. With family connections all along the Southern Coast of England she is lucky enough to spend time absorbed by the varying dramatic coastlines that Devon, Dorset, Hampshire and Sussex have to offer. She has spent several years quietly taking commissions and exhibiting small collections. Best known for atmospheric oil seascapes but also developing abstracts in mixed media. She also has a following of regular customers that love buying her work reinterpreted into textile designs on both scarves and cushions.
