Painting by Impressionist Artist Lee Tiller.
This original oil painting is an evocation of Spring in all of it’s emerging glory. When I first saw this row of trees while out walking, I was minded of a stained glass effect. Sunlight streaming through trees and illuminating the leaves is a motif that will be familiar with collectors of my works. A large version of this painting was commissioned and can be seen in Monart in Ireland. As an artist I strive to evoke emotion through colour, and in this painting the feeling is one of optimism and a sense of tranquility. My paintings are created from the broken colour technique pioneered by the 19th Century French Impressionist artists. You’ll discover myriad colour harmonies and nuanced tones that when regarded as a whole, creates a cohesive and unifying effect that is a constant delight. With each viewing something new can usually be found. For me, impressionism is as close to nature as one can possibly through the medium of paint.
The ‘Colour of Spring’ is a landscape oil painting in a horizontal format and is framed in a contemporary white wooden frame. The painting itself is on a 30″ x 24″ stretched canvas. For the actual framed dimenions please refer to the information below.
