The Tree Poem series has been popular with collectors for over a decade. In 'Tree Poem 23’ Lee Tiller recreated the sensation of standing before a single Jacaranda Tree. He discovered these beautiful trees when visiting Africa some years ago. He has used a summery palette of yellow and green-gold colours, with dusky violets in the foliage and rich blues in the shadows. He paints in the same tradition as the original impressionists, painting an immediacy that recreates the sensation of experiencing a moment in time and place. Hidden with the brushstrokes you will discover myriad colours that often surprise and confound, yet viewed as a whole, form a harmonious effect similar to musical expression. Having developed a reputation for painting the effects of light, Lee’s work has often been mentioned alongside the works of the original French Impressionists, employing broken colour to create beautiful chromatic harmonies. Like Monet and Pisarro, Tiller reveals as much with colour within the shadows as you would expect to find in the full radiance of reflected sunlight. 'Tree Poem 23' has a bright gem-like quality and will create a talking point in any room. His Tree Poem paintings don't tend to sit on a gallery wall for very long! The painting is currently supplied unframed. Please enquire about our framing service.
