Please note that insitu images are purely an indication of how a piece may look. In ‘Twilight on the Thames’ Lee Tiller has returned to a motif he knows and loves. He has used a gentle palette of colour, ranging from dusky purples and violets to harmonising lustrous greens. He paints in the same tradition as the original impressionists, painting an immediacy that recreates the sensation of experiencing a moment in time and place. Hidden with the brushstrokes are myriad colours that often surprise and confound, yet viewed as a whole, form a harmonious effect similar to musical expression. Having developed a reputation for painting the effects of light, Lee’s work has often been mentioned alongside the works of the original French Impressionists, employing broken colour to create beautiful chromatic harmonies. Like Monet and Pisarro, Tiller reveals as much with colour within the shadows as you would expect to find in the full radiance of reflected sunlight. ‘Twilight on the Thames’ will make a fine centre piece for any living space or office. It is currently supplied unframed. Please enquire about our framing service.
