Untitled – And the Sea Where it Goes is an original abstract expressionist painting by Jon Rowland. The work is one of a series of purely abstract paintings that are not necessarily ‘grounded’ in landscape, but reflect a sense of emotional connection. To quote a well-known contemporary artist “My paintings aren’t about art issues. They’re about a feeling that comes to me from the outside, from landscapes,….. Paintings aren’t about the person who makes them, either. My paintings have to do with feelings.”

This series of paintings celebrates and reflects my feelings about being where sea meets land. Thinking of the leisurely pace of the river and the force of the roaring ocean. Amazing tension and excitement.
