‘Seated’ is a mounted, original ink and wash figure drawing by Mary Knowland. The brush enables the ink to flow freely with swift, expressive marks capturing something of the model during the short acquaintance with her form in that pose.

MAry Knowland originally trained as a potter but after many years working in ceramics she took a course in textiles which took her back to her fine art roots - her father had been a painter .
