Cormorant by Kate Boxer is a limited edition drypoint etching with carborundum on chîne collée. The green background beautifully contrasts the bold use of black in the bright artwork. Kate Boxer makes the plates in her studio which are then sent to to the master printmakers. After they have been printed, they are numbered and signed by the artist Kate Boxer. Cormorant is printed on chîne collée paper which Kate Boxer makes. This is done by painting Japanese mulberry paper, which is then sent to the print making studios. What makes Kate Boxer's prints different to other prints is that, if they are hand coloured, they are coloured in by the artist. This work is sold unmounted and unframed.
