Limited edition 13 colour Screenprint. Handprinted on Fabriano paper. Combining 2 of my favourite things - Blue & White china and birds, including sparrows and other garden birds (apart from a grey wagtail who found his way into the print). It has small areas of gold ink and is full of pattern.
50 x 70cm (for easy framing).
Due to the hand printed nature of these prints there may be a slight variation between each piece.
The colours in the prints have been represented as closely as possible in the photographs.

Sarah Targett studied Fine Art specialising in Printmaking at Falmouth College of Arts and now lives in Bath. She now concentrates on making contemporary, narrative based screenprints. She enjoys the possibilities that the technique offers and often likes to use digital and photographic elements along with the hand drawn. Inspiration comes from the ordinary and everyday, often her home town or other places visited and the work is based around something observed, overheard and often read. She enjoys creating prints with exaggerated decorative elements or pattern and bright colours. More often than not, from observations of animals, with birds being a particular favourite theme and motif. All of the prints are handprinted by her at Marshfield Screen Print, a small studio just outside of Bath, where she is also the Technician, part-time and teaches Screenprinting workshops. In her spare time she can often be found feeding birds which is one of her favourite pastimes.
