Batman is a limited edition drypoint etching on chîne collée by artist and printmaker, Kate Boxer. The shimmering silver background of Batman animates the contemporary artwork by Kate Boxer as the light changes throughout the day. Kate Boxer makes the plates in her studio which are then sent to to the master printmakers. After they have been printed, they are numbered and signed by the artist Kate Boxer. This print is on chîne collée - this means that Kate Boxer makes the papers prior to printing. The chîne collée papers are made by painting sheets of Japanese mulberry paper, which are then sent to the print making studios. What makes Kate Boxer's prints different to other prints is that, if they are hand coloured, they are coloured in by the artist. Sheet sizes may vary. This work is sold unmounted and unframed.
