Dick Turpin leaving for York is a limited edition drypoint etching by printmaker and artist, Kate Boxer. Dick Turpin was a famed 18th century highway man. As myth would have it, Turpin rode his horse, Black Bess, 200 miles overnight - all the way from London to York to establish an alibi for himself. Kate Boxer makes the plates in her studio which are then sent to to the master printmakers. After they have been printed, they are numbered and signed by the artist Kate Boxer. What makes Kate Boxer's prints different to other prints is that, if they are hand coloured, they are coloured in by the artist. This work is sold unmounted and unframed. If you would like the work framed please contact deborah@wychwoodart.com or call 07799 535 765. Framing starts at £155 for a simple frame in black, white, off white or brown. Sheet size may vary.
