This painting is one of a pair created after a trip to the island of Skye, the atmospheric landscape plays an important role in this work. The swirling mists and sea spray add to the beautiful mountains and dramatic skies. The painting is oil on a cradled panel and is unframed.

Elaine Fox - Artist - Painter Elaine Fox's work is available for sale online or in our gallery at Wychwood Art. I love being in nature and concentrate on using paint as a vehicle to convey the intimacy of my surroundings and the sense of belonging and affinity with landscape. The landscape drives me to capture atmosphere when I am in wild places and I use these feelings and experiences in a very loose and ephemeral way to create my own personal view of the landscape.
