Neeta Popat Kataria, artist and painter, is available online and in our gallery at Wychwood Art. Neeta Popat Kataria was born and raised in India. Drawing came naturally to her since she could hold a pencil.
In 1989 she gained BA hons in Fine Arts from Chennai University, India. Neeta's first job as a 3D animator and continued as freelance Animator and Digital Online Video Editor for 2 decades. Neeta has always been passionate about nature, inspired by breath-taking views and how the landscape changes through the seasons.
She says; 'Connecting with nature feeds my soul like nothing else…. (it) reminds me that I'm part of something bigger, instantly restoring my sense of perspective, peace and clarity'.
Neeta approaches her work in a state of anticipation and adventure, exploring the unknown of a blank canvas. She searches to recreate a moment, or a sense of place, balancing representation and abstraction, connecting to what she has seen, but allowing her work to form a life of its own.
