Cotswold Landscape is an Original Oil Painting by Eleanor Woolley. Painted plein air, and finished in the studio this painting depicts the beautiful rolling hills near Rollright, one of the artists favourite places. Rollright is steeped in Mystery and Legend , with many a story of the Rollright Stones themselves. Some say the Stones known as the Kings men are petrified men, first mentioned in Camden's Britannia, written in Latin, in 1586. The views from Rollright are wonderfull, the artist has captured the expansive of land and sky with its dramatic clouds and rolling hills, painted in realistic colours. This view is from the Stone known as the Kings Stone.
