This painting was inspired by the rugged beauty of the Peak District and the light on heavy days. There is always that sense of impending rain but just now and again the light shines through to give a beautiful light to the landscape. This work in on a cradled panel and comes unframed for your own choice of frame.

Elaine Fox - Artist - Painter Elaine Fox's work is available for sale online or in our gallery at Wychwood Art. I love being in nature and concentrate on using paint as a vehicle to convey the intimacy of my surroundings and the sense of belonging and affinity with landscape. The landscape drives me to capture atmosphere when I am in wild places and I use these feelings and experiences in a very loose and ephemeral way to create my own personal view of the landscape.
