Isolated Retreat Diptych is a pair of original paintings by Alison Britton-Paterson. The abstract paintings hold a great sense of movement and layering that enhances the colours and places emphasis on the landscape that influences of the work.

Alison has been a full-time artist since 2016. She has collectors in the UK & Internationally. Her works are richly layered using paint, charcoal, oil pastels & graphite. Her work often represents our concealed selves, the aspects we either willingly or unwillingly show & what we keep hidden beneath the surface, sometimes fracturing & creating an awkward balance between the concealed and the exposed. Alison’s current series of work is an exploration into form, space & line, removing all figurative aspects to find simplicity in the abstract.
