This hand made linocut print features oystercatchers flying over the creek at Thornham Harbour Norfolk . The tide is high and a solitary fishing boat is heading out to sea . They say smugglers once plied their trade in the creeks that criss cross the salt marsh. Now the Coal Barn is almost all that remains of Thornham's once-bustling harbour. The solitary coal barn, which has stood on this site for three hundred years can be seen in the distance. The view is framed by convolvulus and sea beet. Printed with Vintage Marsh Green, and Prussian Blue

Kate Heiss is a textile designer and print-maker who has worked with a wide range of fashion brands including Fenchurch, Miss Selfridge and the Japanese fashion designer Michiko Koshino. Then in 2011 Kate set up her own printmaking studio. Her approach to design and printmaking stems from a love of florals, geometric patterns and bold colours often found in textiles. Much of her inspiration comes from the natural landscapes of East Anglia. Working in a variety of techniques to create her distinctive style, she describes her style as “Vibrant, illustrative and quirky.”
