There's more to see is an original painting by Christina Sadler, also known as Maker Who Doesn't Make. This painting has been created with layers of watery inks and acrylics as well as powdery pastels. The layers cross over and blend. There are gentle shimmering golds which depending on the light highlight areas or sink into the background. Christina is interested in the connection a painting has with an individual so provides suggestions rather than dictate what a piece is about. However she says "There's more to see " It reminds me to take pleasure in the smaller things, noticing the texture of an area, the delicate blending of the paint, the ripples and lines that move across the canvas. As I stand back it reminds me of those moments staring out across a landscape feeling small, the weight of everyday life lifting.... and as the light changes and the painting shifts it reminds me that things change and alter and new parts emerge. The piece is signed on the reverse of the canvas, to not detract from the image.
