The National Theatre on London's South Bank is one of my favourite artistic muses. Every time I visit I notice new angles and shapes. The simple Brutalist block shapes lend themselves to my style of art. This is one of my favourite angles – it almost seems to be 3-D here. The piece is created from an original photograph and printed directly onto a super-thin sheet of brushed aluminium. The metal brings out the vivid colour of the sky contrasting it beautifully with the building’s stark grey concrete. National Theatre (teal) is available with in a multi-coloured, yellow, or pink edition. An edition is also available with the individual blocks filled with bright colours. The piece is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 2 weeks. An aluminium subframe on the back making it simple to hang.

Michael Wallner has original artworks for sale with Wychwood Art both in their art gallery and online. Michael has spent more than twenty years in the media industry working on entertainment programmes, talk shows, documentaries, animations and a children’s novel. But creating original and innovative art is his true passion. His latest work celebrates the beauty of the city through the shapes, outlines and colours that define its character. London, New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Miami, Paris and Dubai all feature in Michael’s portfolio. The art is created by digitally manipulating and colouring his own photographs to produce unusual prints on aluminium, reclaimed wood, brass, even 1930’s copper-lite windows. He also creates neon, magnetic, and L.E.D installations. The metal pieces are printed on very thin sheets of brushed aluminium, giving the work an etched appearance. Michael works out of his studio at Wimbledon Art Studios in South London. Recent exhibitions include The Affordable Art Fair (Battersea, Hampstead, Singapore, New York, Milan), The Other Art Fair, and The Open Studios Show at Wimbledon Art Studios, amongst others.
