Hollyhocks season at Monet’s Garden in Giverny This is one of Mary Chaplin favourite gardens that she visits regularly, always different flowers to see. A constant changing tapestry of colour, movement and scent, a wonderful landscape. She specially loves the paths that seem to bustle with flowers, insects and perfume. During the summer, high hollyhocks give a lot of rythme to the structure of the garden, magnificent! To express this beauty the artist likes painting in a more figurative way to take the viewer on an impressionistic voyage. This painting is made with bold texture oil paint on linen canvas. Not framed but ready to be hung.
