This print features a blast of Spring colour as my garden comes into bloom The vivid red tulips in my garden are framed by the flowers of a Cornus Tree and Prunus padus colorata cherry blossom. My cat is sitting in the grass outside my greenhouse in the Spring sunshine. Happy days. A Linocut Print is a relief printing technique where linoleum is cut, inked and rolled to create an inverse relief print, generating the image as seen. This print is made from 8 separate Lino tiles and is printed by hand in my studio in Hertfordshire.

Kate Heiss is a textile designer and print-maker who has worked with a wide range of fashion brands including Fenchurch, Miss Selfridge and the Japanese fashion designer Michiko Koshino. Then in 2011 Kate set up her own printmaking studio. Her approach to design and printmaking stems from a love of florals, geometric patterns and bold colours often found in textiles. Much of her inspiration comes from the natural landscapes of East Anglia. Working in a variety of techniques to create her distinctive style, she describes her style as “Vibrant, illustrative and quirky.”
