Sailing at Blakeney Point is inspired by summer sailing trips from Morston to Blakeney Point in North Norfolk. In the foreground are flowers and plants typically found along the marches of the Norfolk coast. A Sailing barge is sailing back towards Morston and Blakeney Point can be seen in the distance . Joanna Padfield is an artist based in rural Norfolk – I love the natural world and my work celebrates nature and the natural environment, using bright vibrant colours and bold eye catching shapes and patterns. After studying at Norwich School of Art I went on to study and work in architecture. As my path in design continued, I have developed my love of colour and graphics in print making to create linocut prints. I like the process of cutting fresh lino with sharp tools and the anticipation of peeling paper off an inked block, revealing the individuality of each hand-pulled print.
