Low Tide. Original oil painting on canvas, with wooden white frame, ready to hang. Seascape in a semi-abstract, expressive style. Open skies, with translucent shifts of light, combined with a heavily textured shoreline to enhance the reflective waters.
Laura Dunmow artist with Wychwood Art. Laura is a professional artist, living and working in Worcestershire. She creates work that is both fresh and vibrant, capturing distinctive and unique visual experiences across a diverse range of subjects. Oil is her selective medium as she enjoys the flexibility of its’ slower pace, sometimes adding impasto or applied gold leaf onto the canvas to create depth and interest. Her passion is painting land and seascapes that embrace large skies capturing clouds across the seasons and with all of natures’ beauty. Her paintings explore open atmospheric vistas, pushing contrasting colour palettes with tonal blending that combine to enhance the essence of depth and drama. She is inspired by Turner’s brilliant use of light and colour, -applying these disciplines to her semi-abstract, contemporary visions. Her compositions are inspired by her travels both around the UK and further field, always focusing on where the land interacts with the skies, conveying the freedom and ‘spirit’ of a place, connecting you to a place and time. She a full time professional artist working from her studio at home, where she continues to experiment and produce collections of works that create opportunities for her next, new painting. She sells work to private collectors throughout the UK. To discuss any of Laura Dunmow's works please email deborah@wychwoodart.com or call 07799 535765 / 01869 338155.
