The final flourish of light at the end of the day... An atmospheric etching and aquatint in deep blue of Lake Como at dusk. This started as a pencil sketch which was then reworked onto a grounded zinc plate. The artist has added an aquatint to achieve the dark tones and spit bite (the technique of dripping diluted acid onto the plate) for the clouds. Materials: etching inks, Somerset Satin paper 300gsm, etching press The plate is inked for every print in the limited edition, meaning each one is unique.
