Oil painting painted on a box canvas and framed with a light grey wooden tray frame. This painting is rather dreamlike depicting soft pastel colours of pink and turquoise. My inspiration for this painting came from one of my many walks along the Kent coast.

Rosemary Houghton, artist with Wychwood Art. My paintings are inspired from architecture, water and the countryside, both at home and abroad. Some of these images I have abstracted using colour and texture, the colours inspired from my travels in the east. I work in a considerable variety of ways, using mixed media to enhance texture and to add an evocative feel to the work. I also like to create a feeling of space and vitality within the painting.
