Pine tree's, up on Stoke Ridge, where the wind, whistles through, and the cuckoo, comes in the spring.
When painting this picture, I could hear the cuckoo telling me summer is on her way, and the warmth of the sun was on my face.

Born in 1957, Sarah studied at Hornsey and Chelsea Art Schools and some of her student etchings were picked up by Jeremy Maas, and sold at his prestigious Clifford St gallery. So, following a stint at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Aix-en-Provence she
continued her landscape painting. She has work in the corporate collections of BP, Arco British and AT Kearney, and in a number of distinguished private collections.
Her work has been admired by notable artists such as Sir Kyffin Williams,
Maurice Cockrill and Arthur Boyd and she was awarded a residency at the
Bundanon Trust in Australia. Sarah has always been a nomadic painter and has carried her paints to a wide variety of places, from North Sea oil figs to Snowdonia, the Australian outback, India, Spain and latterly to Tasmania as Artist in residence for Bush Heritage Conservation. Her heart remains in the landscape of the British Isles which she continues to explore from dawn till dusk and even under the stars.
